After several days of suggestions from my original thread on nominating a “theme song” for Alexa, these are the ones that got a second (required to pass onto the voting round). Many of the other songs as well were good, but none of them received the requisite second.
The YouTube videos of the songs are inline below (or some video with the song overlaid on top of it – video which may or may not be directly related to the song.
) The title of each song is linked to the lyrics if you’d like to avail yourselves of the written version.
Watch them, listen to the lyrics, and vote using the poll on the right hand side of the page. Voting will continue through next week to give everyone time to stop by and listen to them and make a decision.
Stroker Ace, Lovage
She’s a Lady, Tom Jones
Bedroom Dancing, Day One
Oh My God, Pink
Lady Marmalade, Patti Labelle
With that out of the way, I’ll not be posting anything until next week. I’m headed off to Philadelphia with Nikki to see my parents for Thanksgiving. I’ll be back Sunday evening. I’ll still be tweeting most of the weekend, though.
I hope each of you has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Don’t overstuff yourselves, and don’t buy too much stuff shopping this weekend.

I’ll vote for Oh My God.
Stroker Ace is still the sexiest sounding song to me and thus, the only logical choice :~)
Oh My God by Pink. Throaty sexiness.
I’m going to be difficult and go for Lady Marmalade – only because it brings the whole high-end courtesan thing to mind for me
Lady Marmalade. Retro forever!
I voted for “shes a lady” because I started singing it in my head after that and you popped in as a visual to go along with it. So now whenever I hear that song (theme song or not) I’ll probably think of you- haha.
Oh and thanks for the BlipFM link – several new songs I like off your list!
