A couple of weeks ago, I posted an article for prospective clients on how to find a provider. I’ve decided to take that a bit further and build a while section here for clients/prospective clients, to include that article, an article on proper etiquette for seeing an escort, and a list of the commonly used terms and acronyms in our business.
With the in mind, look through this list and see if you think I’ve missed anything. Those of you who are escorts or see escorts and have spent a good bit of time on the discussion boards will be much more familiar with this than anyone else might be. I thought if I put this out there for you guys to look at before I made it an “official” page in that section, you might point out any errors or omissions. The intent here is to create a page with the most commonly used terms. There’s no way I could get every one of them, and in many cases, there are terms that are used only locally. I would like to avoid the locally used terms if I could. If you’re unsure, say something anyway. Better to err on the side of caution, IMO.
After it’s been reviewed for a few days, I’ll create a page for it and call it done.

Wow! I’ve been around for 3 years, and I have never heard 53 (yes, I counted) of those. Do you think it makes sense to have a separate list of top 20-30 most commonly used acronyms? Otherwise it’s a rather scary long list…

No… intimidating is not the right word. But perhaps, a somewhat shorter list of most commonly used terms is simply more practical to someone new to the scene and easier to remember?
But then, if your goal is to create a comprehensive reference dictionary, then this long list is the best.
I am beginning to think both are useful ideas and simply serve a slightly different purpose.
I kind of based the list off what I’ve seen escorts use in their ads in various places, plus some of the terms that I’ve seen used frequently in discussion forums related to the industry. I don’t want to “scare” people, but at the same time, I want them to have a place to go find the acronym/word they’re looking for. Having two might defeat that a bit, or make it a bit more complex than it needs to be.
Man that’s a lot! I know some of them and I have learnt that I am kind of a ’spinner’, the ‘o’ level & ‘A’ level is fairly hysterical, I have an ‘A’ level in art. Abbreviations are a nightmare for me because I’m dyslexic. I’d have to print the list out and pull it out to ‘refer’ to, ones like: BBBJTCNQNS would totally screw me over….
