A View from the Client’s Perspective (I)

Many of you have seen my other blog site, My First Professional Sex.  It details the first professional experiences of sex workers, including of course escorts and prostitutes.  I thought it might be a bit interesting, and important, to hear from the other side of the equation, though.

I’ve had a couple of people ask me if I’d planned to start a site for clients’ first experiences.  I don’t.  Not because I don’t think they’re valid or interesting, but because I prefer to focus on the experiences of the sex workers.  They’re the ones whose voices are never heard or heeded, and I have a personal drive to ensure that I do what I can to rectify that.  I am sick and tired of having people like Melissa Farley, or Donna Hughes, or Amanda Kloer speak for people who work as sex workers.

Anyway, enough of the little rant there.  Here’s the first of two, maybe three stories about first experiences, this one from the perspective of Daren.

I had been married for 10 years and I was approaching my 40th birthday.  My wife had stopped having sex with me after our second child.  We went to a marriage counselor for this and other issues, and it became clear to me that this was not going to change.  I even asked her if she wanted me to get satisfied elsewhere, but although she said she didn’t, nothing changed.
