I apologize for the relative dearth of postings lately, but with the end of the semester and the loss of my pet rabbit, I’ve been a bit preoccupied. I’ve finished my first year of graduate school and have just one year left, so go me!
I have a couple of interesting things coming up in the next couple of weeks related to my clients.
I have my first female client soon. She’s a fairly well known (in her area) personality from the east coast and wants me to spend two days with her accompanying her to a class reunion. I can’t be any more specific than that without possibly giving away some identifying information, so I’ll leave it at that for right now. But I’m extremely excited to be able to provide a professional service for a woman finally. I’ll probably try to write something comparing and contrasting the female client experience vs. the male client experience once it’s over.
Speaking of male clients, my morning client has me booked for an entire day on Monday, June 1st. He’s going to tie me up in a closet in his office and use me periodically throughout the day. He’ll have employees, clients, and other people coming through his office all day, and wants me to help him “pass the day,” without allowing anyone else to find out, including his executive assistant. This is some twisted fantasy he has, and he’s compensating me for about 8 hours at my regular rates, so…I’ll certainly accommodate his little fantasy. I’m sure that will prove story-worthy.
What else is going on?
I’m working on another new project. This will be a web site that catalogs sex workers’ first experiences with “professional sex.” It will include stories from escorts and prostitutes, porn stars, webcam workers, fetish workers, strippers, pro doms/dommes and pro subs, phone sex operators, and anyone else who’s job involves providing sex or sexual fantasy to clients. It will be a recurring, blog kind of thing where I post the stories as they’re submitted. If you are a sex workers or know of one, feel free to contact me (or have them contact me) and I’ll provide them with information on how to participate. Gender is irrelevant as is sexual orientation. I am about half way done with building the initial site and hope to have it done before I leave for Yellowstone on June 13th.
Speaking of that, Nikki and I will be headed to Yellowstone on June 13th for a whole week. I am *so* looking forward to the time away from the big city. I’ll try to Tweet as we move through the park, but cell coverage throughout the park, especially in the backcountry, is sporadic at best outside the developed areas. I’d love to post photos, too, but all of that will have to wait until I get back to civilization. lol Do you guys want me to keep a journal of what we do and make daily posts about it or not? I don’t want to bore you, but if you’re interested in hearing about our experience there, I’ll do it and post the accompanying photos when I can.
I am considering pursuing my doctoral degree once I’ve completed my Masters. I’d not originally planned to do that, but the drive to ensure that I have the professional cred to do what I want to do with my future has led me to the point where I am seriously considering it. There are a small number of PhD programs related to human sexuality in the country (including the Kinsey Institute at the U of Indiana), and I have requested information from all of them. I’m also working with my counselors at my current school to get their input about it. People have asked, “Will you keep doing escort work”" if I elect go that route. The answer is that I haven’t thought that far ahead yet. I’ll be writing a separate post on this shortly, actually. How does “Dr. Alexa” sound?
Finally, a couple of random “me” notes:
If you haven’t read it already, Jenny Block interviewed me for a magazine that published in Dallas. You can see the magazine page HERE. They limit the number of words she can publish, so they edited the interview down a good bit. You can read the whole thing HERE.
I am working on another Q & A post, so if there’s a question you’ve been curious about, contact me and let me know what it is. I’ll add it to the post.
That’s it for this update. I hope you guys are enjoying your Memorial Day holiday (for those in the U.S.). Have a great week.

I hope you are feeling better with all you’ve had to deal with.
That day with your morning client sounds exquisite… very story worthy… are you looking forward to being there, barely hidden from his guests as you wait to service him again and again?
I’m sure you’ll both have a wonderful day!
Do the journal. I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting to read everything you write.
As for the academics. I’m taking a year out after my Masters, and I’m thinking about going back to school. It’s good you’re laying the groundwork. It doesn’t hurt to apply.
I think you should go to U of Indiana for the purely selfish reason that it’s also on my list of colleges to apply to!
I still think Dr. Alexa has a nice ring to it
“He’s going to tie me up in a closet in his office and use me periodically throughout the day. ”
I hope he gives you a lunch break.
I have to wonder about the practicalities of having you in his office all day…
How will he sign you into the building?
Will you get toilet breaks?
What about meal breaks?
Do you let anybody else know about where you will be for your own safety?
We’re getting down to the Human Rights Act 1998 and he’s breaking at least 2 articles here, with your consent or not doesn’t matter.
Alexa, I just discovered your website… a true encyclopedia of erotic adventures and the escort trade. Your web design skills are formidable. From rabbits at the state fair to this. Is there a connection?
Ed,
are you looking forward to being there, barely hidden from his guests as you wait to service him again and again?
I think you know the answer to that question.
Steve,
Do the journal. I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting to read everything you write.
I’ve had a couple of folks e-mail me and ask me to do it as well, so I’ll keep a little journal and do them as I have the time.
It doesn’t hurt to apply.
Agreed, though it involves getting letters of recommendation to every school I apply to. I’ll probably narrow it down to just one or two this summer.
Keeley,
I think you should go to U of Indiana for the purely selfish reason that it’s also on my list of colleges to apply to!
Heh!
Sara,
I still think Dr. Alexa has a nice ring to it
You’ll still eb calling me “Mistress,” though, okay?
Ally,
I hope he gives you a lunch break.
I know he’ll have something for me to eat.
SS,
I have to wonder about the practicalities of having you in his office all day…

I’m guessing you didn’t read the post I linked to about him. He has a private elevator to his office (well, shared with one other user who’s rarely there). As for toilet and meal breaks, we will work out the specifics in an appointment i have with him later this week.
Do you let anybody else know about where you will be for your own safety?
I don’t discuss the specifics about security precautions I take, but the short answer is that, yes, someone will know I have the appointment and will take appropriate actions if I don’t report in safely at a pre-determined point.
We’re getting down to the Human Rights Act 1998 and he’s breaking at least 2 articles here, with your consent or not doesn’t matter.
Since many people believe what I do is inherently illegal, I’m pretty sure this won’t be much of an issue. Thanks for your concern, though.
Richard,

Thank you for the kind words, sir. Welcome to RPD.
From rabbits at the state fair to this. Is there a connection?
None that I am aware of, though you’re not the first to bring this up.
New sex blog: wonderful subject
Ph.D.: excellent idea (but not sure about UofI – you’ll be bored)
Jenny Block: nice interview but more than a bit disingenuous saying she had “never known any sex workers”. The things they say (and don’t say) in the newspapers!
Much British comedy of the 1970s was based around men hiding young women in cupboards. I feel a strange nostalgia at the thought of it being revived in this little scenario.
I doubt if the reference means anything to you, but the thought just tickled me somehow.
Will you be nude or wearing particular clothing?
I’m enjoying the read of your sight. Well written by a true sexual-intellectual. Your insight is conveyed brilliantly!!!
Go for the PhD! Unless you become very wealthy you will never get a comparable chance to spend 100% of your time for a seriously long stretch studying something that is deeply interesting to yourself – not even if you become an professional academic.
I have a PhD (in Maths) and it was the most stimulating three and a half years of my life. I met my supervisor once a week for an hour or two during term time. Apart from that I was completely free to do whatever I wanted. I spent so much time in the library studying philosophy, economics, physics, or whatever else I fancied; I even found some time to work on my thesis! Add to that the fact that my fellow PhD candidate were all super smart people whom it was a real pleasure to discuss almost any topic with and you have my idea of heaven. (A few hot women would have been nice, but you can’t have everything.)
I love my job now – it’s intellectually stimulating (I develop mathematical models for financial institutions), and my colleagues are all intelligent and nice but while I’m much better off financially I have much less freedom, and much less time to study what I find genuinely interesting.
So if you have an idea for a topic to study, I’d really encourage you to apply for a PhD. It’s a unique opportunity, and it will give you something to be proud of for the rest of your life.
