For those who are interested, CNBC will be doing a show tonight called Dirty Money: The Business of High End Prostitution.
I’ve only seen the teasers for it, and it appears, at least on its surface, to be an attempt at a reasonable expose on the business. We’ll see. You can watch the teaser for it and read about it at the link above, or watch an extended trailer for it at: CNBC – Dirty Money
If you get the chance, watch the show tonight, and let me know what you think about it.

It does sound promising. What they have posted on the site so far looks good, but as you said, we’ll see. I don’t have cable though, so I’m hoping you will make a post about it with your comments? Pretty please?
Absolutely. And I believe CNBC often posts entire shows on their web site, so you may get lucky and be able to watch it there as well.
Oh I hope so! Look forward to that and your post about it.
Just finished watching the Show. Was interesting to see how they covered the differences in sex workers. I thought it was very cool seeing your website.
Keep your self safe and happy.
Thanks, Ed.
I thought they did an excellent job on the reporting, actually. I just knew at some point Melissa Farley was going to pop up with her rantings about prostitution harming women, blah, blah, blah, but was very happy to see that they used credible experts to discuss the potential negatives involved in the industry. Veronica, Amanda, and Tracy did excellent jobs, as did everyone they interviewed, actually.
The absolute only thing I could possibly complain about is that we refer to our “customers” as clients. I wish they’d made that distinction.
Other than that, though, they did a really good job.
That’s very good to know. Probably means they’ll receive a shit load of moralistic “Well I never!” letters from various viewers.
Probably so, but the reporting was right on the money. I mean, literally, there was nothing inaccurate in anything they reported which, as you know, is almost unheard of. lol
I don’t see anything on CNBC’s site where they have archived shows available for viewing. Perhaps someone will post it in segments on YouTube or something like that. If I come across it, I’ll sure point you to it, Aspasia.
Thanks babe! I am very happy to hear such a positive report on my future career. :)
Haven’t owned a TV in 4 years, so I too would love a heads up if any parts of it are posted online :)
OMG, Thais! I am such a news junkie. I’d literally go into withdrawal if you took my computer or my digital-cable equipped TV away! Gah!
I *love* your user name, btw. What is that from?
Ha :) I *have* been in withdrawal over my computer: my psychologist at the time ordered me to give it up for 30 days to resume an off-line life
As for the name… Well, when you read this book at 12:

…and decide that the main heroine is your new role model… you end up having a very interesting future
Thais, that is just too cool. What an awesome role model.
This is for you.
