Penetrate is one of my favorite words. It not only sounds sensual coming out of someone’s mouth, but it carries such a vaguely erotic undertone when someone uses it even innocuously. Someone can be discussing a subject wholly unrelated to sex and the word will cause my ears to become erect, much like a rabbit’s when he hears something unfamiliar. For example, weather experts will talk about tornadoes and the damage they can cause. They’ll often mention that 2 x 4s can be hurled through the air at a high speed sufficient to allow them to penetrate brick walls. My ears rise up at the very mention of the word and it immediately, if only momentarily, transfers me into a sexual frame of mind.
Used erotically, “penetrate me” carries a significant emotional thrust over and above the physical manifestation it immediately presents to one’s mind. It means more than just “fuck me” - it literally means to come inside, deeply, extending past the physical into my spirit, my soul.
When I tell someone to penetrate me, I am telling them I want them inside me, physically, intellectually, emotionally, spiritually.
